Movie Hot Press

Diva Diva Diva is really the first thing that comes to mind when you watch Valentino; the second thing is his amazing designs. He is definitely the master of creating beautiful ideas. This documentary was a back stage pass to the workings of the Valentino mega brand design "process". The seamstresses are amazing... and crazy.. all at the same time...within an inch of each other around a mannequin. Watch for the unique and special relationship between Valentino and his long time (50 years) partner Giancarlo. At the Vancouver screening, Director Matt Tynauner focused on this relationship as the initial engaging story that he was after for the film. Matt was first introduced to the world of Valentino while on an assignment as a non-fashion journalist to cover Valentino for Vanity Fair in Vienna in 2007.

Valentino: The Last Emperor is for those seriously curious or addicted to the behind the scenes of the fashion world (yes you! who secretly love Project Runway).
